Can someone point out the bona-fide QF pilots in this conversation who are denigrating the JQ pilots over this error? Because I bet there aren't any. The same as no bona-fide QF pilot ever gets on here and spruiks about QF's safety record over anyone elses because we know we are vulnerable, just like anyone else.
To the people who claim QF pilots get on here and do and say these things, prove it!
If an aircraft return to departure point due to a publications screw-up, I believe that is actually a sign of a good safety culture, because plenty of airlines would have simply kept on going.
The Perth "ditching" is another example of those with an axe to grind with QF guys getting it wrong because they want to. It has been rehashed many times in this forum. Do a search if you want to know what really happened.
A classic did return to Perth a few years ago because no JNB plates were on board. It was an example of a crew owning up to a screw-up and doing the right thing. I believe the JQ scenario was the same.
Why do you people get stuck into crews of any airline that own up to the errors that we all make, and do the right thing about it?
