Now we lose our mates - as they lose their jobs - and have to put up with Qantas Industry Centre - who know nothing and are allowed to do nothing.
Brilliant move Qantas - you have just reduced the last bastion of Airline culture left in your system to a memory.
Our industry is truly shagged. It may not have been making money on paper, but with the predatory mindset of current times was not really allowed to. Also the profits made by feeding the International network and QF mainline would not be factored in as this would have been considered a cross subsidisation and come under the gentle gaze of the ACCC. Star Allianceis busting at the seams trying to get its International feeder network happening again. Wonder why?
All in all a bleeding travesty. We will sorely miss our mates.
