Just to a little up beat news into this thread to all you new starters out there. I started out in the bush in zim and mozambique 20 years ago the best flying of my life and would go back tomorrow if i won the lotto!!!!
I now am lucky enough to be a 4 year captain 777 out of lhr with 12 years 747 classic and 400 under my belt as well as hs748/atp 737 and 727 on the ticket.
I learnt a hell of a lot in the bush which i still use every day at work if you can give it a go and it will stand you in good stead for your entire career. Get those first magic hours under your belt enjoy them they are fun and the rest is up to you.
And good luck waiterpilot you have the right attitude you will be welcome on my flightdeck any day!!
