Profit, scmofit - most of it was due to the USD-NOK exchange rate at the time the aircraft were bought - so maybe it was a good time to buy after all? Anyway - I doubt Boeing or Mr. Kjos himself will ever aknowledge any rumours about the actual price of the aircraft. But as is pointed out in the previous post - book keeping is an art... However - DY has a substantially lower unit cost (if that's the correct English term for it...) than SAS, and there is absolutely no reason why DY shouldn't be making money in the future. A lot of people are choosing DY these days.
