Glad to see this thread back online about flying!

I must agree the ethos of hanging the dirty laundry out on PPRUNE amazed me no end! The Scots I personally know not only have a great ethos, beard or not, but they were in fact brilliant people with plenty of humor!

So I too shall be taking a flight to Scotland and visiting some of the smaller fields there and spotting that famous scenery.

Hangerage is key not only for the door seals but also for the paintwork as well as making the de-icing a thing of the past.

Perhaps the school and aero club could find some common ground here and try to get hold of hangar space together? I would think it helps retain the value of the plane and so should be cost effective especially buying in bulk!

It would make a good start in repairing the damage.....
