My boyfriend just completed his ATPL Ground Training Course (14 JAA papers) from Oxford. He was self funded. He just told me that to go for the next level, it would cost him almost to Euros200,000
(in Spain..ouch! that's quite a lot of $$$$)
My question is, does he have to do it all the way in Europe to get his commercial pilot licence, my understanding from him, wherever you go and do your study i.e. in Australia, you still have to do some hours conversion to get it recognized by UK/EU standards.
Does anyone know any other 'reasonable' cost that he could still pursue his study and not having to bear that much of monies.

P.S: He doesn't know that am here and doing some online/desk research for him, feel a bit hopeless
since he really wants to achieve his dreams to become a commercial pilot
