Stunning pictures from very unusual locations.

I'm now going to risk being shot down by people who really know their photography. Have you considered changing the settings on your camera so that when taking pictures of snowscapes you increase the aperture/ reduce the shutter speed by a couple of stops? Unless you have a special setting to help compensate, then the metering on cameras will average out the light level to what is considered a "normal" setting (I think it equates to an 18% grey, whatever that might mean...). Snowfields come out looking dark and dingy as a result.

I was playing with your pics in Photoshop Elements and simply lightening the shadows had a very realistic effect - lifelike sky and landscape colours. Worth a try?
