I thought legislation came in recently (three years ago?) that required a physical demo during the safety briefing. I say this as I recall a Dash 8 FA telling me they had to now stop doing the announcement and demonstrate the operation of the seat belt (this was prior to the pre-recorded demo). My memory may be failing me as I cannot find anything in CAO 20.11, except for this in relation to overwater ops;
