I have posted a reply to your question of the same subject on Airmech.co.uk, but will repeat none the less.
Once you have passed all the modules, there is nothing to stop you getting a job as a mechanic, you WILL NOT be able to get your licence though.....
For a B1/2 licence you need 5 years "Active interest" in the industry, UNLESS you have attended and passed a JAR-147 approved JAR-66 basic training course, the requirement is then cut to 3 years experience.
The modules for the licence are only valid for 5 years, therefore if you pass the first one 6 months before you pass the last one, by the time you have completed your 5 years experience the first one will have expired!!!!! (What a mare!)
The B1 licence was primarily aimed at people already working in industry, or those on the aforementioned course.
