There is that story about a C130 crew whose air show routine involved stopping half way down the runway, lowering the ramp, and dispensing special forces who would race round the airfield in jeeps with much firing of blank ammo smoke bombs and thunderflashes.
One day the Hercules went technical on the way to the show and was diverted to a civilian airport, but nobody bothered to tell the guys in the back.............
