I think the amount of airlines around the world who actually do live demos is 50-50. I may be generalising here, but most Asian carriers don't do live ones....with the exception of CX. The men and women on CX stay in the galleys during the first part of the demo...then when it is time to point out the exits, they come out stand at their positions, point to the exits, and then walk back into the galleys/hiding areas for the remainder of the demo!!!!!! Classic!!! I love it!
I'm going out on a limb when I say this and I expect every CASA/OHS/QF Safety Auditor to shoot me down with hot flames.....but I personally would rather not have to do live demos....I'd rather be having a cup of tea and munching on a box of Arnotts Pizza Biscuit Shapes. If its good enough for SQ, CX and TG...then certainly it's good enough for QF.
