hello everyone.

i agree with the opinion.

by the way , i should know the spelling of my profession. anaesthesia is british and anesthesia is american. i am the lazy type so use the US spelling!

perhpas the best approach for me is to read general aeronautical texts regarding aircraft systems ..without focussing on one specific model. then there are no security issues and i will have the knowledge i want.

ofcourse , cost is an issue. can someone recommend a good book , which will descripe aircraft systems in some detail without going into deep physics and mathematics.

i really think there is a lot of scope for book for the public with special focus on aircraft engineering. i may be wrong but i think the guys who fly planes have very little to do. the real excitement is the aircraft design . there are enough public how to fly books , so little on aircraft mechanics.

if i had more knowledge , i would have written such a book. maybe some of you should take up the challenge. it would also elevate the status of the airline mechanic, who , public percept as grease monkeys.

thank you very much for your advise.

do let me know if you any ideas.
