They've been trying for years.
Current arrangements mean only Australian and USA registered airlines have access.
It's too small for most of the Yanks (United only last time I looked) which leaves Qantas sucking up a nice fat pseudo monopolistic margin. Hence it's a prime target for competition from V Australia.
Only time will tell if they are successful or if the business users stick to higher fares for the QF service.....
