Station Flying

My first job many years ago was as a station pilot for a company called North Australian Pastural Company (NAPCO) in western Queensland. It was some of the best flying I've ever done, and you'll quickly learn alot about your own limitations and the importance of good stick and rudder skills. The aircraft weren't in the best nick, but it's great experiance for a low time pilot. Like previous posters have said make sure you get the right training from an experianced low level training provider, as it might just save your life.
Other companies you might like to try are stanbroke pastural, AAco, Sam kidman and some of the private cattle stations in Qld and the NT. You won't have a problem with only having a ppl as most station op's are considered private operations.

Hope it helps.
