I do not know how many times that threaders must realise that a full a/c does not mean a great deal of profit.
You are correct up to a point. One of my previous employers had its largest loads ever in the month prior to bankruptcy. However, given the choice of seeing rows of faces behind me or rows of seats....I know which I'd go for.
