heard that aircraft has to wait for temps to drop before can depart from north qld airports
They don't wait for the temp to drop (North QLD places can stay hot all night this time of year). If the TODA is such that max TOW cannot be achieved for the given temp then the TOW is limited as required. From what I have heard this has not been a huge problem yet at the airports they are operating out of.
