The point Grunt made was valid, and it wasn't about budget bashing (unlike some posts above, which read like BA bashing). Ryanair is sometimes cheaper than BA, BA is sometimes cheaper than Ryanair, but that's not really relevant to the point being discussed.

Many punters do not understand the way airlines work, and it is too easy for those of us in the industry to 'assume' that passengers know that these airlines are point to point. Most passengers would not have the foggiest idea what that means. But then Ryanair know this, don't they. I mean they still take the bookings.

I assume that his type of detail is verbally highlighted each time such a booking is made or the website has a pop up when such a booking is made, otherwise it would really be a bit dis-genuine of these operators to cite the small print when things go wrong.

It is the type of thing the general public would expect from a dodgy car dealer, not from a properly run airline.

Budget airlines are good for one sector flights only, but the general public does not know this.

The point Grunt made is perfectly valid, it is not Budget bashing.
