I worked for FedEx for 14 yrs (prior to 9/11) and
only employees could jump seat--never friends or family. And then business travel would bump personal travel. In addition, we had to test on emergency/evacuation procedures. Can't imagine a freight carrier taking on the additional liability and vulnerability in this day and age.
I enjoyed those priviledges and had a blast riding up front.
