Not sure about the pod scrape but VH-OJA blew a tyre out of FRA and the bits were thrown through the flaps. Aircraft on deck now in Sin and will be fo days. From the accounts I have heard the crew were made aware after takeoff about the potential damage and someone, somehow, somewhere made a decision to keep her in the air for the full sector. It may have been the outgoing Manager of Maint Watch attempting a last ditch effort to save his job. The "she'll be right mate just bring her home" phone/satcom advice seems to have slipped in as a norm these days.
