I work for the flippin company and I am trying to tell you the reason why the crew would have asked for the McDonalds to have been disposed of. You may find it strange but your statement is not only ignorant of many other airlines policies but damn right incorrect.
If you had an alergy to something, and I am going to go off topic slightly and use nuts as an example (as it is fairly common) would you want someone sitting next to you eating them as you departed into the big blue sky? I think not.
So, next time i am on board with my celiac nephew, I'll be justified in taking exception to the crew serving sandwiches to anyone in our immediate vicinity....?
