.....but BA (and others) have operated 75's at ABZ for years!
Down here in the South, we regularly see 733's, 738's, 757's and A320's at SOU, which has only 1700m (and is a bit narrow too).
Ok, I expect they are quite weight restricted, but a 738 (with all their range) operating ABZ-DUB would hardly be heavy, would it?
