Tell everyone; your family, your bank, your building society, your kids.
Go to the job centre and sign on, TODAY, NOW, NOT TOMORROW.
Claim for everything you can think of...they will help you find out what you are entitled to. council tax etc.
Stop spending.............on everything.
Prioritise your outgoings.
Pay what you can to those that MUST be paid.
Try to re-arrange your mortgage payments.
Pay your power/water etc. bills monthly or even weekly.
Shop weekly only for what you really need, not what you want.
Make lists. Stick to them.

After you've given up sending CVs to every airline in the world, get out and keep busy.

Lock the car in the garage or sell it if you can. Walk everywhere, if you can.

If you can find work, ANY work, take it. Drive a cab or a bus, gardening, supermarket work...anything. Don't be too proud to take money from anyone.

If you see someone worse off than you, give them a hand.

Keep smiling and if your partner sticks with you, all will be well...eventually.
