I would prefer to be in an aircraft that is definitely going UP or DOWN. If the fan fails in the van, you're going DOWN and slowly. If a fan fails in a conquest, metro or kingair, you're STILL going UP. Unlike the light piston twins where you're not really sure. Hot day, full load in a chieftan? no thanks.
