One concept I had in mind ( dream stuff I guess)for a large SE pax carrying transport cat A/C is mount the large fan/engine in the middle of an oval shaped fuse. (Wings & tail mounted like any other craft)This way you 'store' the cargo ( SLF) into the area's out to the side of the engine core. Bit like the human eye shape

Hate to think though if the N1 let go, chop chop, slice & dice
They don't build 'em in SE format in any shape for one pure & simple reason, nufin' to do with the mechanics of it am sure, it's about SAFETY, safety in numbers
You could even have one pilot operating such an A/C (don't tell QF that
) but again they don't for the obvious
