If you blokes can't handle twins I don't really want to fly in the airline you get to fly for.(if you do)
Bushy, I'm surprised at that comment, I'd have thought you'd know a little better.
Flying a bug smashing PA31, Baron etc....bears no relationship the flying a modern turbofan passenger jet.
Plenty of people around the would do a quick IR in a multi piston type...then jump into a sim and then learn how to fly a passenger jet.
Not the other way around
