What is it with the rudeness of Newcastle passport control staff?

they are in their own little world, I've noticed it all on numerous occasions of late. My wife & I put it down to the fact that with the exception of the inspectors on the desks then they lack tact & judgement, have little to do that requires a brain & spend most of their day (or night) trying to justify their existence
