Another question that nobody has asked yet: How large is ATC's part in this? They forced the ATR to abort the take off. I dont know how fast the ATR was when the abort was given but it seems pretty fast from the consequences and ensuing chaos on the taxiway.
Is there something we can learn from the actions ATC have taken? Would it have been better to let the Dolomiti depart and maybe give the landing aircraft a visual break away instead of the standard missed approach? It was VMC after all.
Just asking, because the damage to the ATR looks expensive......
