Accidental thrust reverser deployment now ruled out.

Far too pedantic I know, but someone has to ask.
How, from the above, is right side reverser deployment
categorically ruled out? How are MD-80 reversers normally deactivated? Mechanically? Disconnected hydraulics? Electrically? The right side reversers were already carrying a defect so; highly unlikely but ..............
