As the pilot lands, he is advised by ATC to expedite taxi back to ramp to accommodate a second aircraft about to land.
The taxi, supposedly towards the end portion for the procedural 180degree turn, was cut short. Thus, the attempt to 180 at the narrower portion (and a less than perfect execution of the turn) ended up with the incident.
