Peripheral Neuropathy
Having seen my GP there is a chance I have a condition known as peripheral neuropathy.
I am aware that this is a catch all term and it contains within it some 80 or more seperate conditions, all of which affect the functioning of the peripheral nerves creating various symptoms to various degrees.
Whilst some conditions can be quite severe, my symptoms are a mild tingling in the little fingers and ring fingers of both hands and of all of the toes in both feet. Other than being a mild irritant it has absolutely no effect on me, my mobility, or my movement and has very gradually developed over some 12 to 18 months.
My GP has done the usual blood tests to rule out diabetes, vitamin deficiences, liver and kidney problems and I'm not on any cancer treatments, all of which I am aware can induce the symptoms.
My concern is that I hold a current JAR class 1 medical and I am keen to know what effect if any this condition would have for retaining my medical.
