Best advice is to try before you buy. Most reputable pilot shops will allow you to "test drive" before you spend the $$$...if they don't then take your $$$ somewhere else!
I've heard so many stories about which are better, but in the end much comes down to personal preference and comfort...you won't find that out from someone else's opinion.
My first headset was a Pilot brand one that many rubbished....it cost less than half of the comparible DC, but 20 odd years later it is still working and is a good spare or pax headset.
