I was in the same situation as you 3 years ago. Had the blue one, but plenty of hours, my complany at the time would not let me upgrade my licence, until i was doing a command upgrade for them.....the result was me booking a sim, TRE and getting my friend in the other seat. All worked out in the end. But if you want a DEP long haul position then you need the green book on the day you join.
