Mate, you will find that
VB only has BNE, SYD and MEL bases for flight crew at this stage, Jet* had an Adelaide base until last week, Cathay have flight crew on the A330 based there but other than that you will be looking at a job with REX, Sharp or Alliance airlines to be permenantly based in Adelaide.
And yes, for the early flights out of all other Australian ports you just have to get up early in the supplied hotel room.
