BA was quoted last week as saying they hope that the pre-clearance can be done on board the aircraft during refuelling, without passengers having to leave their seats.
Also, apparently it's undecided whether the current Club World seat will go in, or something designed specifically for this service. Other things like whether lounge access is needed at LCY are also under consideration, given that minimum check-in time will be 15 minutes.
