Let me be absolutely clear here, I was not, repeat not implying any wrong doing decisionmaking etc. There was unforecast weather & it did catch a few aircraft out (due to no fault of their own !), large & small alike. I believe the weather affected Parafield but don't know if Edinburgh was so affected. The missed approach, holding etc & the report that a
VB aircraft was being towed (if indeed this was the case) may have been two separate events. My original post stated there was a "suggestion" but did not seek to link the two together, in fact I said I couldn't imagine it would be the case. All I was asking if anybody knew something concrete that may have linked the two !
My apologies to all & sundry if my post was in some way miscontrued. I thank those who took the time to reread my post & clarify the issue of unforecast wx & alternate fuel.
