ATPL skill test conversion with type
I have the FAA ATP with three type ratings.
Qualified to sit and passed the JAA ATPL exams based on my experience and not having to go through any groundschool. The catch is that I have to do the skill test on a type of aircraft that is already on my FAA ATP.
The problem I am facing is that it is impossible or really expensive to rent a sim with a TRE to complete the skill test.
My question is
Can I get a new FAA type rating and at the same time perform the skill test for the JAA?
Or, does the CAA requires me to have any time in the airplane, in addition to the type rating in my FAA ATP, before they can accept the skill test?
