I've booked my class 1 medical because I plan to become a commercial pilot and thought it would be a good idea to see whether there was anything that could hinder that plan.
However, I have just done the worst thing possible, and self diagnosed myself with type 2 diabetes. Don't ask me why, but the internet is a horrible horrible thing.
Does anyone know whether type 2 diabetes would stop me getting that class 1 pass? I'm not saying I have it myself, but my great uncle was diagnosed yesterday and it got me thinking, and I'm a bit of a worrier like that.
Any advice would be appreciated.
