See Kevin Broon has been venting his spleen recently over the poor transport infrastructure around the airport, & cites an example of people from Stonehaven preferring to travel to Edinburgh to catch their flights.
Also mentioned the lack of hotel accomodation (cooncil turned down two hotel developments near the airport recently), linking it with his attempts to tap into the German tourist market, the insinuation obviously being that he cannot - apparently - tap into this market as the accomodation shortage is counting against the area. Can't imagine that's the only reason of course...
Who's responsible for the taxi contracts that are permitted to use the airport, & what about this hitherto (non?)existant shuttle bus from Dyce station to the terminal? And Stagecoach have dumped their airport link on their bus route up the A96...we are left with the typically Aberdonian & uniquely farcical situation of having to change at Blackburn to reconnect with a city-bound bus to get back to the airport!!!
