I don't think you should worry too much about the price of oil. When petrol reached £1 a gallon there was uproar and all the analysts predicted the end of the world. It is now over £5 a gallon and people still drive gas guzzling 4x4s. Everyone copes and we all get used to the price changes eventually. It is the same with flying. In the very short term airlines will struggle and some will go to the wall but in the longer short and medium term we will cope and pay more for the same flights. We all like flying because it is faster and often the only practical way to holiday or do business. Even so it does hurt.
