That would of been the $1000 cash plus $1000 worth of shares paid last year as a bonus. There is no guarantee that this will be paid this year so a bit of false advertising from QL. You have to hold onto the shares for 3 years if I remember correctly before you can sell them.
The $1000 worth of shares are now worth closer to $500 at todays share price.
Also beware of the retention bonus. You have to be employed for 2 years before you are eligible and the scheme ends at the end of December 2010.
