My duty times run at close to max for the first fortnight and about half that for the second fortnight in our 28 day roster period. We do about 350 flying hours per year in a job that would be equal to the military security wise. We do work quite long shifts at times with late finishes and the only overtime we get is a call in allowance for an RDO. Pay is now about mid 80's due to a surprise pay increase across the board which has been well received.
I think Qlink & J* would be a great job, both should be very secure the only danger would be fuel prices. Hopefully fuel is not as big an issue as it looks as it has the potential to shutdown any operator. I would like to try RPT flying for a change and a new challenge but if it doesn't come my way thats fine also.
