Yeah, the base salary is $51,174 (FO). The company are ensuring they get their pound of flesh by flying you at max hours - being 75/month (900/year). Absolute minimum rest in-between overnights. After 5 sectors (10 hours duty with your ass strapped to the seat), taxi in round 8:30pm / arrive hotel after 9pm (find time for a proper dinner), alarm set to wake you up at 5am / meet at motel reception at 5:45am / a/c walk around by 0600 / taxiing by 0630 - for another 3 sectors and sign off round midday. Count on doing 2 overnights per week (8 per 28day roster) in between the single flying days during that week. They flog you like a dead horse. Beware! And this starts from day one training with no time for consolidation.
And no matter who tells you that there is progression between QL and QF, - do NOT believe them.
