30 seat aircraft are able to earn profits, just not as large sums as larger airliners. And when you take into consideration that the Jetstreams a dime a dozen (or not so far away) in addition to the fact that FOs with said company start as baggage handlers (there`s no other way in) and also either pay for the rating or are bonded, as well as receiving next to nothing on the paycheck, well, then the company should be making a fair amount of money.
If they`re just breaking even, even when they`re keeping training costs and wages at a minimum then somebody should really take a good hard look into the accounting department

. About time to put the collective foot down to protect T&Cs. Don`t fly with cariers who don`t pay their employees, or who don`t provide the raing and training necessary for the pilots to be licensed crewmembers
