I don't think that that was the question though was it. The guy is having trouble with VFR NAVIGATION and is obviously struggling to relate what is on his map to what is on the ground. There also appears to be a lack of confidence in his planning from what I can gather.
No one was asking about how to work out crosswind limits etc. If the flight is planned properly and navigated and flown correctly there should be no scope for flying off track and getting lost.
And seeing as how we appear to be taking cheap shots, if you keep finding yourself in the position that requires you to work out how to get back on track, then maybe you should do a bit more nav training. <img src="wink.gif" border="0">
