Dear Sirs,
Request for Mutual Assistance by Danish Airline Pilots Association (DALPA)
Against SUN AIR of Scandinavia
We have been informed by DALPA that the Pilots of SUN AIR have, in a ballot, rejected a new
Collective Agreement. Unfortunately, the company are now refusing to negotiate further and the
pilots will, therefore, be striking from 00.01 local time on Saturday 10th May.
SUN AIR of Scandinavia is based in Billund, Denmark. They operate short haul routes in the
northern part of Europe. They are also engaged in charter operations. SUN AIR operates on a
franchise basis with British Airways and employs 50 pilots.
DALPA is therefore requesting the following Mutual Assistance Policies:
Request for Ban on Extra Flights and/or Capacity (Industrial Manual 2.4.1.3)
Request for Recruitment Ban (Industrial Manual 2.4.2)
Request for Denial of Cockpit Crew Contracting (Industrial Manual 2.4.5)
DALPA will keep IFALPA and Member Associations informed of any further developments
concerning this dispute.
