Oh, and another thing the 757 has not got it's ETOPS back yet for 1 yes 1 simple reason, and that is this.
The CAA have asked engineering to check for any outstandig SB's (Service Bulletins) that may be outstanding on the Aircraft to be completed before ETOPS will be granted.
Now before you usual sarcastic, self important idiots start thinking they know why. just shut up for once and listen.
The SB's in question have to be checked from the birth of the Aircraft and and you may or may not be aware. the Aircraft has not been in service with FGS for that long considering the Aircraft was birthed on 15th Mar '96.
Now, providing the SB's are all up to date and correct then we shall see what happens.
As for the delay in the post earlier on re: delay from SFB. That crew member went sick. Tell me of other operators that carry spare staff?
As for delayed flights, THINK about it, how many operators cancel flights like Easyjet. etc.
