Okay,
I got to Redhill today, taxied out, taxied back, taxied out again then took off. 3/4 tanks and 4 up in a 160 hp Fuji using the shortest of Redhills moist Runways. My Bottom chewed a hole in the seat but we cleared the trees at the end by 30 - 40 inches
I tried to go East and was blocked by low cloud, tried north, then west, same thing. Noticed a bloody great Airport to the south so I didn't bother trying there, so back to the Airfield and wash the plane.
So, what have we learned, everyone who was going to the Fly-in is an "Old Pilot" so far so good, but let's not let this put us off.
My Suggestion. Da Da
Lets go somewhere with hard runways and something to do when we get there, I'm talking about Duxford. I am happy to try to organise something if everyone wants, what is the consensus.
