I thought KLM-Air France were buying VLM?
Presumably they think it will be easier to get approval with cityjet rather than KLM cityhopper for example, since Cityjet are Irish. If they used KLM for the takeover, it would probably get rejected since they would probably be deemed to have too much control in the Benelux countries.
