Just spent some time reading these posts. I have recently completed converting my ATPL licence to an UK JAA and am now considering my options. I have only the right to live and work in the UK, not the EU. As I have 9000hrs of which 3000 are Capt on Turbo Prop, 13 Tonne a/c and absolutely no jet hrs. I wonder if anyone can offer some advice on my next step here in the UK. Do I get the foot in the door and concentrate on turbo prop operators only or pursue my goal of jet operations. What is the likelyhood of gaining a jet job first up without forking out money for a type rating on a jet such as the situation in Ryan air.
