Angel Big Cats In The Jungle...

According to the CP at Tiger, they have already been offered the A330s by SIA however, it apparently doesn't fit the current business model.

Ryanair et al, have now entered the widebody market therefore, has the business model changed?

It would be an incredibly profitable move to introduce A330s as a link between the major Tiger Hubs i.e. MEL-SIN, MEL-INDIA, MEL-INCHON, MEL-MAINLINE CHINA, etc.

These are not competion routes for SIA (try getting a seat to SIN!!), they are new and exciting destinations for "low cost aussies" and the sheer magnitude of population available for return traffic must have the accountants salivating!

I guess we will need to wait and see the influence SIA has as it increases toward 100% ownership and if the CEO sticks around after the public float. (Big payday pending)

In the interim, there appears much more chance of Tiger Aust taking on V Aust using the SIA 340-500s. Aircraft basically grifted to Tiger Aust and Tiger Portland USA documents floating around as we speak... open skies indeed!
